Mea culpa
Forgive me, whoever-it-is-that-I-should-be-asking-forgiveness-of, but I think I may have sinned. 
Or not.
I finally did it. I put in an order for my first U.S.A. kilt.
I had been watching the prices of another kiltmaker: three times I was within a paycheque of buying, and three times, the price increased. This time, my disappointment was so great, I caved in.
Somewhere in the back of my mind, I'm playing out a daydream about standing up in front of a room full of kilted men and admitting I'm a kiltaholic....and I don't want to be cured.....
You see, I wanted something special.
Yes, of course I have fantasized about having at least one kilt from each of the best kiltmakers in the world, and I did have U.S.A. Kilts on my radar....
...so it looks like the world's third kilt made in the Stephen-Mathieson tartan will be made by Rocky. This time will be yet another pleat pattern, and this one will be in the weathered colour palette.
I have been sitting on that tax refund cheque since April. Not sure what I'm going to tell my partner, but I have several weeks before I have to tell her.......
EPITAPH: Decades from now, no one will know what my bank balance looked like, it won't matter to anyone what kind of car I drove, nor will anyone care what sort of house I lived in. But the world will be a different place, because I did something so mind bafflingly eccentric that my ruins have become a tourist attraction.
