Thumbs up My compliments to USA Kilts

I should have done this a while back... but life just gets in the way sometimes.

I got my first USA Kilt a couple months ago. I got a Gunn Semi-Trad. WORTH EVERY PENNY I am very pleased with the quality, and it fits perfectly. Rocky was great to work with over the phone. Count me as a USAK fan.

    Hi Ian,

Congratulations on the kilt. How's the "new" job been going? Last time I recall seeing a post from you, you had just started with a new company I believe.

A semi-Trad is on my wish list.

As one USAK fan to another, I think the Gunn tartan is one of the nicest of the PV's on offer. I have one of Rocky's casuals in that tartan, I wear it often.

    Yikes Ian, Graham...

Is this a spiritual message for me????

Gunn is one of my few family clans that I don't have a tartan for yet....guessing what you gentlemen are telling me is that Gunn is one of those tartans that looks better in a full kilt than in a small swatch...??

    Hmmm....semi traditional or casual....hmmmm

As the happy and proud owner of a Gunn casual USAK, I'd have to say it is a beautiful pattern.

Aaah, the way the colors catch the light, and since it is pleated to stripe, the red stripes pop nicely against the green and blue background. It is one of my favorites. In fact I'm wearing it right now.

Hmmm, maybe the universe is telling you to order another kilt from the wonderful Rocky and Kelly, lovingly handcrafted to your measurements, fabricated in a high quality 11 oz PV pill and wrinkle resistant fabric.

    Cavscout,
Yeah, the job is ok. Thanks for asking. I was hired to be a data-monkey, but they figured out my skills and so now i am programming full-time. My only two gripes are: they didn't change my pay grade when they changed my title, and the project i have been assigned to is lead by a micro-managing control freak who doesn't know what he wants, so everything i do ends up being "wrong" in some fashion. luckily, my boss is doing his best to insulate me from this internal customer. I don't mean to sound ungrateful, i am programming full-time and i love it, i just hate egos and politics.

    Ron,
Yes, you are being told to buy a USAK Gunn. And Gunn does look best with your own eyes and in the bright sun. The colors are deep and rich, and the sett is large, so no swatch does it justice.

    Charlie,
I actually got mine pleated to the sett. To illustrate Rocky's good customer service skills, he did try to talk me into pleating to the stripe given the sett's colors, but maintained that i prefered it pleated to the sett instead. He offered a suggestion without being pushy. Thumbs-up to that. And he did a great job with the pleating too.

Pleated to sett eh? Hmmm, I'd like to see a picture of that. I'm sure it looks great and your are right - Rocky and Kelly have been great to work with.
If you have the time and inclination please post a pic.
    Thanks, Charlie
