New Kilt on the Way
I wanted a new kilt for the holidays. That's sort of funny as my oldest kilt is about 3 months old.
I asked Rocky if he could make one in time. He said he could. So I ordered a Philabeg in Campbell Tartan. When Rocky was ready to start, he discovered he didn't have enough material for a guy my size. If you have looked in my gallery, you know that I am such a petite guy!
In any case, Rocky felt so bad that he gave me a free upgrade to a traditional Go Rocky!
My Douglas Modern Kilt is leaving the shop today!

Kilt arrived yesterday. I will post a picture when I get a chance.
The material feels different from the others I have. This is the first Poly Vis Kilt I have. I wonder how the pleats will hold up when I sit in a car and go for a ride.

Will, I've found PV to be very good with creasing after sitting, they clean up nice when you drop your lunch or coffee on it.
It's tough stuff and will take what you throw at it!

Here is a picture of my newest kilt. I also have close-ups of the front and back in my personal gallery.

Douglas tartan...
Very nice! You just can't go wrong with the Douglas tartan -- not only is it an impressive looking one, but there's quite a bit of history behind it -- the Cameronian Regiment and the Witwatersrand Rifles of South Africa claim it as their tartan! Sadly, the Cameronians are no longer with us, but the "Wits" are still around.
Cheers,
T.
