New Kit for Easter
I have been lurking in the forum and though i have very little to say most of the time, it seems appropriate; however, that I should take the opportunity to say that Rocky and USA Kilts have been really easy and pleasant to work with.
Rocky made my first woolen kilt (pic below). It arrived today, together with the Jacket and Waistcoat two weeks before he said that he could do it!
Rocky deserves his reputation for really excellent service!
Sorry, the snap is a bit grainy, I'll try to work on that!
Cheers!

Wow, a new wool kilt AND jacket and waist coat. Congrats! Which tartan is that? Your family's?

Looks great! Now, my Jones has just kicked into overdrive...I am waiting on a jacket and waistcoat just like those from Rocky as well. You really look sharp.

Thank you, all, for your encouragement.
The forum, as a whole has been very helpful to me as I made my first choices in traditional kilts. Your wit and kindness have been greatly appreciated!
The tartan is Boyd Ancient, in honor of my maternal great-grandmother, who abandoned Alabama for Texas in 1876.
Rocky made a very nice kilt, and turned me on to a very kool windowpane tweed.
Cheers!

For those who can't tell from the photo, there is a VERY subtle dark grey window pane pattern in the tweed on his jacket. I liked it so much I got 2 for stock in the store (one of which HAPPENS to be in my size ).

That whole outfit looks great. I can't see the pattern in the jacket but I've been to the web site and the tweeds there do look good.

Very sharp. And a nice contemporary look, with or without a kilt pin.
Welcome to XMTS from Cape Cod.
