New Scott Green Weathered 5 Yard
It arrived yesterday - from that sale on fabric Rocky had. Got a 5 yarder in 16 ounce wool from Marton Mills.

This is one of those beautiful, subtle tartans that really looks best in full sunlight so you can see and appreciate all the detail. But alas, my digital hasn't captured all that in these first pics - but its there.

Living in Navajo country where maternal lines are important to the culture I really wanted this since my maternal grandmother's clan is Scott.
This would be the 74th kilt my inner kilt addict has purchased and the 37th currently still on hand with two of those for sale and two others on order. I'm such a shameless kilt junkie! Buy! Buy! Buy!

A very handsome sett, looking completely at home in its surroundings. Nicely done!

Really sharp Ron. Rocky and Co. always do good work.
This tartan vaguely reminds me of the AZ tartan...darker maybe...or maybe I'm thinking of another tartan. Still, it fits that AZ terrain well.
The grass is greener on the other side of the fence...and it's usually greenest right above the septic tank.

That's a great looking kilt Ron and now that you have yours maybe mine is right around the corner. I ordered an 8 yard in Colquhoun ancient from the same sale.
I'm just trying to be the person my dog thinks I am.

Tell you what. Had this puppy out and about on the high desert alll day today. No camera since had the clients with me. Was across some washes, up a canyon, and a LOT of driving on bouncy dirt roads today. Great time. Hardly noticed the kilt. This is my first Marton Mills wool and I am very pleased. It held up well - very well - just a bit of wrinkling from sitting on the pleats for hours - on rocks as well as the van seat. Much less wrinkling than expected. No way does the cloth seem "fragile" Its a workhorse. And even at 97 degrees today the material always felt cool. I'm most pleased with that Marton Mills cloth.

I agree, the tartan colors absolutely match the AZ desert and grasses. Beautiful tartan.
