No jones - tmmediate gratification - followed by a jones...

    Huh?

Yesterday I had the opportunity, by altering my driving route by about an hour, to visit Rocky's store, USA Kilts, in Spring City, Pennsylvania.

The "no jones" is that I not only made it to the store but found an "off-the-rack" casual kilt in American Heritage - in a perfect size for me to wear [very] casually - at my regular jeans waist. So I had to take that one with me. In fact, I wore it for the trip home and found it to be incredibly comfortable for driving a 140 mile (3 hour) trip.

The "new jones" is that Eric, Rocky's store manager, measured me for one of the 5-yard wool kilts on special. I really like the Celtic Nations tartan and have it in one of the USA Kilts casuals (and have received many compliments). The wool version of that tartan in incredibly rich in appearance. Hence, the jones begins - for that one. It should be ready right around the Christmas Holiday.

Of course it didn't happen unless there is a picture, sooo...

Wearing my new American Heritage Casual - still with the price/info tag at that point.
(The bright red was to add a bit of color in the shot.)

This was the second time I've been to the store and have had the pleasure of having a conversation with Rocky. However, this time I also got to meet his staff. He has a dedicated crew who are very detail-oriented and intent on building that perfect garment for each customer. No mass production here - this is a class operation.

So, you got an off-the-rack off-the-track. Good for you! Both your kilts look great and I, too, like the Celtic Nations tartan. I envy your proximity. For me it would be about a 40 hour detour.

I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

YIKES! Just saw the typo in my title.

Supposed to be (of course) "immediate" gratification...and the "t" and "i" keys are not even close to one another. Must have been the excitement of having a new kilt in hand and one on order.
