And so it begins...
I called my order in yesterday. I realized from the moment I hung up the phone, that the next 8-10 weeks are going to be sheer torture.
But I am solidly looking forward to it.

Well, if there's one thing having 4 daughters has taught me, its patience...
If there's another thing my lovely daughters have taught me its that I don't make enough money...but I'll save that conversation for the pub

Hang in there guys. Rocky's kilts are worth the wait!
When God created men, he made the intelligent ones kilted so women could tell just by looking.

I own one, a Casual in the Caledonia tartan purchased from another member on this site. It's what convinced me to get one in a tartan that (I like to tell myself) Rocky procured just for me, Davidson Ancient in Poly-V (It's just too darn hot in FL for wool right now).
Heck - I'm already looking into National Scot argyle hose and other accouterments to go with the kilt. National Scot + Davidson = win.

I've jonesed for about 25 USA Kilts to date. The soution to the jones is to shop for accessories while waiting for the kilt. Accessories usually ship faster than kilts and having them arrive bit by bit helps reduce the jones....or, enhance it...

"I'll have a kilt please, a nice hand sewn tartan, 16 ounce Strome. Oh, and a sporran on the side, with a strap please."

I went Riverkilts' route. I order ed one of Rockys' premier kilts and then began ordering accessories. By the time I had everything else ordered, the kilt was in the mail.
Now I'm planning another purchase from USAKilts (a semi-trad in the same tartn) and eyeballing stuff to expand my kilt-wearing modes of dress.
I wish I believed in reincarnation. Where's Charles Martel when you need him?

I already ordered and received a few accessories - in fact, it was the purchase of my bonnet, to which I affixed my Davidson cap badge to, that prompted the purchase of a Davidson kilt to go with it.
I've ordered new shoes... some cordovan leather cap-toe oxfords. They will arrive today.
now, my next task is to order some soft hide to make a brown leather MOD-style sporran.
And finally, I have a normal waistcoat that I'm going to modify into a kilt waistcoat by raising the neckline a bit, adding taper ribbons to the back. It has a silk back and olive green tweed-like front.
Much of my accessories will be handmade. That should give me plenty of time.
