    USA Kilts is Hiring!

NOW HIRING: USA Kilts Store Associate / Warehouse Staff

PLEASE SHARE this post if you know someone in the Reading / Allentown / Philadelphia triangle looking for a job!

We're looking for someone who LOVES their Scottish / Irish / Welsh ancestry (or just loves wearing kilts) to fit in with our company. USA Kilts is expanding and we're looking for someone who can:

    1. Speak intelligently to customers (we'll teach you all about kilts, but candidate should come with enthusiasm to learn and basic knowledge)
    2. Multi tasking ability
    3. Lift "reasonably heavy" boxes / bolts of cloth (shipments from Scotland / UK) once a day or so
    4. MUST have attention to detail.
    5. Basic Computer Skills a must

What does the job entail? You'll be part of our retail / warehouse team who have the following tasks (plus other odds and ends):

    1. Speak with customers and guide them through the buying process. We have customers who may need a bit of guidance to determine what is right for them. For many of them, this is their first kilt and they need some assistance from our staff (which we happily give).
    2. Receive shipments from Scotland / UK and put product away in store and warehouse
    3. Ship orders out using our computer system. The majority of our sales are online, so you'll spend a reasonable portion of your day picking and packing orders.
    4. Speak clearly on the phone. You'll be answering phone calls from all over the US... taking orders, answering questions and whatnot.

The position is part time, but this will likely grow to a full time position within 6 months (and full time employees have an IRA program as well as a few other perks). Hours / days are:

    Tuesday (10 am - 6 pm), Wednesday (10 am - 6 pm) and Saturday (10 am - 6 pm).

If you're interested, please email your resume & cover letter to rocky@usakilts.com

When I read the title of your thread I thought perhaps you were looking for an " in house " construction guy .

All kidding aside , if I were retired and lived nearby , I would send you a resume in a heartbeat . That job would be a labor of love ... at least to me .

Best wishes to you on filling the position !

    Cheers , Mike

Dream job -you can wear a kilt all day long. I wish I could afford to take this job. The "perks" may be worth it.

I am sorely tempted. But an 8 hour commute would be a bit long for my tastes. My daughter does like Pennsylvania though......

Rocky, I retire in seven years. If you can hold off 'til then, I'm happy to relocate.

Seriously, good luck in your search.
