42 years married

It is our 42nd wedding aniversary today 6th September. We were married in the same year as the first landing on the moon so as Veronica pointed out I have no excuse to forget.

6th Sept. 1955 : An American Major General from the Rocket Sciences Division of the forces has told a news conference that any ideas of human space travel is pure fantasy, as the expense to put a man into space can not be justified unless gains can be identified, he also stated that it could be achieved in 15 years if enough money was put into the project. ( In 1969 not only was space travel achieved but Man Landed on the Moon ).

Congratulations Chris to you and your missus. That is just so romantic. 42 years together seems an unimaginably solid relationship. I lived 25 happy years with my late wife, my ambition is to find another soulmate with whom I could spend a further 25 years.
