    4th of July

Congrats to all of our US members on your Independence Day. As many of you did on Canada's Birthday, July 1st, I shall don a kilt and toast our many friends across the 49th parallel (and of course in Alaska and Hawaii) with a wee dram of bourbon, followed by a single malt to rid me of the taste! (only kidding, I quite enjoy bourbon).

    Slainte to all!

    Bill

Thank you kindly, Bill. I celebrated Canada Day with homemade poutine and butter tarts. Tomorrow will probably be hot dogs. Oh well.

Thank you, friends. It's much appeciated.
It was my first time sharing in the celebration on Canada Day. It was an enlightening experience.

Bless all of our Canadian and (other) Commonwealth/Dominion brethren.

Happy 4th of July to all our American friends! Don't forget to look up ... for fireworks, not kilts.

Happy July 4th to those who celebrate it. Cheers!

Even if you are celebrating independence from the British :-)

In the southeast we're celebrating our independence from the sun. Heavy rains have forced the cancellation of parties and fireworks in lots of localities. But thanks for the well-wishes anyway.
