Another Additon to the Ancient Order
Let it be known that the member known as Alan H has attained the high and lofty rank of Ancient Order of the Kilt.
Henceforth he must garb himself in the ceremonial kilt and speak in cryptic phrases unintelligible to meer mortals. No more will he associate with those lesser than him, except to dispense tidbits of wisdom. Let us all bow to the awesome figure that he is.
We now salute your greatness.

Haha!
Well done Alan!
I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature's ways of fang and claw or exposure and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow. - Fred Bear

He is so pleased with this that he has taken his yacht 'ankle biter redux' out for a spin in his bathtub! Congrats sir!
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

And unlike many of us (myself included), Alan's posts are uniformly guaranteed to educate and enlighten us about subjects of interest, and provide resources (can you spell X-Kilt?) for everyone to draw from. Thank you Alan!
Note: the above is not meant to disparage anyone's contributions to this board, just to highlight the extra-ordinary contributions of AlanH.
