Australia Whitewashes England
Australia has just beaten England in the final Ashes test match for 2013-14 season. Australia won the series 5 - 0 having wrapped up the final test in 3 days (a test match is of 5 days duration). Well done Australia, a great effort and well deserved.

I celebrate with you Downunder Kilt. The clean sweep lifts Australia above England on the world rankings. Raise a schooner! And a whisky chaser, for the kilt connection! We've sent them homewards, to think again - there's another connection!
Next assignment for the Test team is in a few weeks time against current world no 1 South Africa, in South Africa, a far sterner undertaking.

Very true what you say about South Africa Ian, but I have not seen an Australian test team with this much fire in their bellies for a number of years. Lets hope the lads display the same level of commitment over there. Cheers to the Aussies.

Yes well played The Aussies, seriously don't know what happened to England, we were dire, outplayed, outclassed, out-psyched, out-everything, even out moustached by Mitchell Johnson.
There should be major repercussions from a 5-0 whitewash, long term or even permanent rests for some players and the whole coaching set up must take responsibility for their part in such an abject display.
Enjoy the triumph while ye may my merry Aussie chums, we will be back!!!! (someday when we've learned to bat & bowl a bit)

Well played Australia! Comment about the other team would be superfluous.

After the last season, I (respectfully) disagree.. As a team, we're on fire, and had we been in this form last year, South Africa wouldn't have retained the title by attaining a draw. That match exemplified why people no longer want to watch test cricket. Hopefully we can give them a proper show this time!
