    Congratulation to my runner

Last night we attended the annual Cross Country/Track and Field Banquet for my son's high school where he was awarded the MVP for both boys' Cross Country and Track. This afternoon, in a ceremony at his school, he will sign his National Letter of Intent to join the team at Morehead State University here in Kentucky. Congratulations, Alister!

Lookit all that hardware! And a kilt? Hope your shirt has some extra-sturdy buttons...

Congratulations to you and your your young man! Impressive stuff!

Does he ever run kilted? Unofficially, of course--I don't imagine his school would view it as acceptable uniform.

And that's just the stuff from Track and Field, which the coach hangs on to for the awards banquest. Most of the hardware from Cross Country gets handed out in the chute. And then there are the trophies!

He has run a few local 5Ks in his old SportKilt, the most recent on a New Year's Day in the rain, which he won.
