I was able to wish a couple of Americans visiting our railway a Happy 4th and extend it to all over there (with the proviso that it's never too late to come back )

My sincerest thanks to McClef's generous offer to reconsider my allegiance. I must respectfully decline, but offer a toast to Crown and Country for your support and kind wishes.

Fair enough but it's always worth a try!

Thank you, Father Bill, we appreciate that declaration.
Twas my wife's birthday today as well (yes, she's a firecracker!) so we celebrated that too. We spent the day in lovely St. Michaels, Maryland anticipating the fireworks in the evening but, they were canceled due to the off and on rain. She looked great in red, white and blue and I wore my saferon Amerikilt with black golf shirt, black hose and red flashes. I guess I wasn't very patriotic in my choice of apparel but, I was comfortable.

Simon Fraser fought as MacShimidh, a Highland chief… wrapped and belted in a plaid over the top of his linen shirt, like his ordinary kinsmen. He put a bonnet on his head, and stuck the Fraser emblem, a sprig of yew, in it. With the battle cry, A'Chaisteal Dhunaidh and the scream of the pipes, they charged to battle.
