Happy St Andrew's Day!
Happy St Andrew's Day to all! I'll be attending two events kilted today, it's been bright and sunny here for 4 days, but -5 celcius at night, but at least it's been dry, bright full moons with not a cloud in the sky. The ground is like concrete with the frost, thickest hose and tweed jacket it is then!

Happy St Andrews day indeed! Especially to all for whom Scotland has a special place in their heart.
However this day is more than kilts, much as we love them, so this topic is being moved to the celebration zone where it more specially belongs.

I'm making blackberry-pecan scones this morning and kilting up for a small-town Christmas event tonight. The shops will be open late, carolers will be strolling, and I understand there's to be a live Nativity scene. They want people to dress "Dickensian", and I figure the kilt and kit with my 'arris tweed Inverness cape should fit the bill.

Happy St. Andrews Day indeed. For some reason the schools, offices and banks here in the Borders have opted to take the St. Andrews Day holiday on Monday so I am wearing my black trousers while kept busy driving autistic children to and from school today, will be back out on the road in a few minutes time.
The autistic kids don't adjust well to changes to their routine so I don't want to scare them by turning up kilted.
Called in at the Post Office between runs and have already been asked where's the kilt today?
Though I shall be kilted all day on Saturday, Sunday and Monday to celebrate St. Andrews weekend.
