Stuck working today, but I am meeting a couple guys after work for a few beers, so I am bringing my kilt to work to change into after I clock out.
So I suppose today I will be having a few pints whilst dressed properly!

I'm kilted as I type. I'm at home now but will be going out and about on errands shortly.

Kilted, today. Tomorrow the local Scottish Society celebrates it downtown at our Scottish born American patriot, Hugh Mercer Apothecary Shop.

Kilted and gussied up (tweeds and tie) at work all day, possibly picture later. Lots of compliments so far, and questions of course (what tartan, what's the occasion, etc...).
To the Barnum & Bailey Circus with Wife and the Boy tonite, will probably swap over to jeans for that. Maybe time for some nice single malt in between somewhere to toast the day.
Happy Tartan Day to all.

Though working most the day I made sure to wear my wool Black Watch kilt, brown leather sporran and belt with brown casual nubuck wingtips, lovat green hose with dark blue flashes, blue pull over shirt and nubuck leather vest. Walked through the hospital I work and gained a few nice looks and compliments. The rest of the day I wear a kilt and vest but it is lead and has denim vinyl covering so it doesnt count. Tonight I may pull out my tank, Bonnie Greene made German Heritage tartan, black wingtips, charcoal hose, perhaps my black sporran and belt. Ill find a nice shirt and perhaps my dark charcoal wool waistcoat. IF cool enough Ill include my charcoal tweed jacket. Two brewpubs await me and I know I will be the only one kilted.

Walked through the hospital I work at and gained a few nice looks and compliments. I dont usually walk through the whole building but today I felt I needed to show the Black Watch off. The rest of the day I wear a kilt and vest but it is lead and has denim vinyl covering so it doesnt count(I work around Xray all day). Ill make sure to stroll home through the hospital again, perhaps someone might ask why Im wearing the kilt. Say it loud and proud: "It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom — for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself."
I celebrate because if it weren't for the Scots, I wouldn't be living in this great democracy.
