I FINALLY have a job offer!!!

I got a call from the US Census Bureau this morning to start work on May 24. (I applied back in February and interviewed in April). I go for fingerprinting tomorrow.

It's a "temp" job - through the end of the year - but I could transfer to a permanent/different job there, or to another government-sector job. (In the meantime, I'm going to keep looking for a full-time job in the IT sector).

It's been 4 years since I had a full-time job, and 2 since I had even a part-time/contract. Things have been getting VERY tight in the last couple of months while waiting for an offer (after putting in 113 applications to various jobs that I knew I was qualified for - until recently I didn't waste time applying for jobs I was way over-qualified for).

Thanks to everyone who have read my profile (I noted there I was looking for a job) and expressed well-wishes and sent prayers - and a couple that have made tentative suggestions for work, you know who you are.

I hope, I'll find a job for me, too. After couple of months, more then 50 applications and 7 interview, still nothing.
