Mustn't see the bride!
So . . . the morning of our son's wedding, he's walking down the main street of our home town, when coming the other way, is his bride returning from the hairdresser's. Now, according to custom, he's not allowed to see the bride until she comes down the aisle. The girls fixed that for him!

Re: Mustn't see the bride!
The women I know would have been much more forceful. The rule among my friends is that anything can be done to the groom before the wedding as long as it won't show during the ceremony, and doesn't cause significant physical harm that may result in him being unable to be there.
We've all walked pretty close to that line over the years.

It looks like it was pleasant weather for a wedding. I trust everyone had a wonderful time. All the best for the future for the newlyweds.
We look forward to your pictures.

Pictures! You want pictures already?!
OK.
The Church of St. John the Evangelist, London, Ontario, Canada

Yours truly, waiting for the couple to be ready. The stole I'm wearing was owned by Meghan's late Grandfather, also an Anglican priest.

My own beautiful bride and I, grinning at our guests on the way out: "We did it!"

Receiving line, outside the church

My son (Bill III) and I with our girls - Liesel & Meg. (By the way - she's a Menzies on her Grandma's side)

But this is my favourite picture so far:

Thanks for your interest and for asking!
