One small post, one giant landmark
Ladies and Gentlemen of X Marks. Earlier today something happened on X Marks that has never before been achieved by any on-line community dedicated to the kilt.
At 5:37 Pacific Standard Time on the 1st of July 2013 (1:37 am 2 July, Zulu) our one millionth post was made.
No other kilt forum has ever reached this goal.
The landmark post was made by Grizzbass to the " 'Amazingly rare' letter written by Robert the Bruce to Edward II found" thread in the "History and Heritage" forum section.
Will you all please join me in congratulations to each and every member of this amazing community we call X Marks. Over the past 9 years your posts, your dedication to each other, and your willingness to spend your valuable time among your kilted brethren, have all led to this landmark.
In celebration of this landmark and in recognition of Grizzbass's post he will receive one of our small traveling quaichs.

Congratulations are also in order to the forum owner, who has set both the bar of civility and the tone of community at such a warm and welcoming level. It is truly a triumph.

Hear hear indeed. It was the power of this forum and its many varied topics and discussions that led this man to travel across the pond to The door of Freedom Kilts, Victoria, BC to shake the hand of the man that guides and maintains a steady ship and provides a safe haven where we can exchange views, post pictures and discourse with other kilties across the globe.
Thank you Steve and here's to the next million.
( as every new post is a record breaker, do we all get a quaich? )
seriously though congrats to Grizzbass, have a dram in good health.
Friends stay in touch on FB simon Taylor-dando
