Thank you, Glasgow - from Canada
Today, January 11 is the birthday of Canada's first Prime Minister, Sir John Alexander Macdonald, a Glaswegian by birth. It was Sir John's efforts that brought about Canadian confederation, creating the young sapling that became the Canada we have today. Sir John was born 202 years ago today.
Happy Birthday, Sir John, and thank you Glasgow!
