Hahaha! I actually do this quite often, not every time after working out, but often. I usually have a couple of ice cold, Michelob Ultras...and NOT my favourite, Belhaven Scottish Ale, for that would be way too heavy on my stomach post-workout.

    Slainte!

More proof of that statement attributed to Ben Franklin . . .

OTOH, why waste all that time working out when you could just go straight for the suds?

Enjoyed the article. I intuitively knew that a beer or two after playing a game of old-timer hockey was a healthy thing to do! Now there is evidence.

Ah! Justifies what I've been doing for years. int:

Simon Fraser fought as MacShimidh, a Highland chief… wrapped and belted in a plaid over the top of his linen shirt, like his ordinary kinsmen. He put a bonnet on his head, and stuck the Fraser emblem, a sprig of yew, in it. With the battle cry, A'Chaisteal Dhunaidh and the scream of the pipes, they charged to battle. Hey, after the fun-run I participated in this weekend, I had a couple of beers in the beergarden. So I was only following the latest scientific and medical research? Good for me!
