Belhaven Scottish Ale in the US

Belhaven Scottish Ale in the US !
I was roaming the beer section of the local liquor store about a week ago and saw a Saltare ...
Belhaven Scottish Ale, brewed in Dunbar, East Lothian, Scotland and bottled in Collage Station, Texas.
Took a 6 pack home. Very nice brew! Bought 2 more 6 packs today.
Include this review as it uses the US labeling which differs from the native label a lot.

Pants is only a present tense verb here. I once panted, but it's all cool now.

Aye, found it here in Lower Alabama at Fort Rucker. It is a nice brew.

Belhaven -- the Scottish Ale in particular -- is one of my personal favorites. Fortunately in the Boston area it is fairly readily available both bottled and on tap.

It's a favorite of mine as well, but I'm having a hard time finding it in bottles... I can find it in cans at the grocery and liquor stores near my home, but not in bottles!

I know this may sound odd, but to me, it's not so good from cans...

And I'm only an hour from College Station to boot!

Thanks for the information. It is bottled nearby - I'll check in the stores. Bellhaven in cans was the only Scottish Ale sold around here.

There's a hamburger joint a couple of miles up the road from my house (The Shack), which boasts an extensive beer menu... I can get Bellhaven in bottles there, oddly enough! All the more reason to go to The Shack and enjoy one of their obscene burgers (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/the-shack-cypress), I suppose!

You are not wrong about the labeling! Interesting though, you can get it in the US, but I've yet to find it south of the border here in England. We are a bit out of the way where I am though.
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

Belhaven also exports a export strength stout (~7% abv) and a Wee Heavy also about 7%, very tasty! Haven't seen it in a while but the also sold a beer called St. Andrews Ale, haven't seen it in a quite a while.

Always been fond of Belhaven . Oddly enough , I've been able to buy it in bottles here in central and southern Indiana since the mid 1980s .

Here's a pic of a one pint bottle from back around 1986 .

Mike, nice to see a proper 570ml pint. This Collage Station bottling is the new shy ( 330ml ) bottling at 11.2 US fl Oz.
It seems to be the current standard here for craft beer of around 12 Fl Oz.
