The Box Bar & Grill
The Box Bar & Grill in Plymouth, MI, has over 850 beers! What I remember were 11 different Scottish brands with a total of 16 styles. I also had to try some local brews, too, of course, including: Atwater Dunkel; Arbor Amber Ale; and, a Bell's amber and Oberon (Wheat). Excellent stuff and a great steamed salmon!

Seriously, I wish there was something similar near me! Sounds like a recipe for a good evening (or weekend).

Well, Plymouth is hardly near me! I live in Houston, but have had business twice a year in Detroit and Livonia for a while now. I wish I could go to the Detroit HG in Livonia this coming August, but cannot because of other interfering business travel.

The five Scottish ales I had (not in the same day, mind) were:
- SkullSplitter Orkney Ale
- Alba
- Traquair Jacobite Ale
- Fraoch Heather
- Harviestoun Old Engine Oil
All excellent!

It's not my intention to bump this thread other than to challenge those who know of a pub that serves more beers than the Box Bar & Grill. I looked about in Houston, TX, and cannot find one.

I can't recall it's name (will try a little Googlin'), but in the Dupont Circle area of DC, there was a place whose beer menu ran to many pages.
They even had several imported near-beers that were new to me---a bonus, since that is my tipple these days.
EDIT: OK, it was the Brickskeller. I was thinking it was around 22nd St; sure enough, I pointed Google Maps there and clicked "What's here?" The Wikipedia entry cites over 1,000 bottled beers.

I'll take a look. I go to DC every few years; so, it may be worth the while. Thanks.
