    Thumbs up Clootie dummpling

Just found a great recipe for clootie on You Tube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TTPi_fvXbEc.

She doesn't give you the exact recipe, especially for the fruit and spices, but she also only uses flour instead of adding pinhead oatmeal, which I can't find in my local shops.

I'm going to give it a go in the pressure cooker (30 minutes with no pressure then 50 minutes at 15lb) to save time and fuel.

She recommends it fried with full Scottish breakfast or with smokies...

    Already had lunch, but...

You may find pinhead oatmeal in Holland & Barratts, or a health food store. That was the last place I saw some.

Sadly, Scottish foods are a rarity in my neck of the woods. Now, Scottish beverages are another matter. They are in no short supply at restaurants and markets.

Get a good Scottish cookbook and you can make your own traditional Scottish dishes!

There are loads of Scottish recipes on t'interweb, also.

I'm at work at the moment so I can't really look, but if I remember next time I'm on the net at home, then I'll put up some links.

Caledonian Kitchen carries the Pinhead oats.. A lot better than rolled oats.

Pants is only a present tense verb here. I once panted, but it's all cool now.

Think shipping might just be a tad expensive...
