    A cocktail?

The Balvenie posted this on their FB timeline:

It doesn't take much to complement a mild summer evening. This uncomplicated cocktail will take the edge off, and won't outshine your favorite dark spirit.

The Godfather is two parts The Balvenie, one part Amaretto. Build over ice, stir, and serve on the rocks.

I see that, and have no problem with it, but for me the recipe would be "one part Balvenie Double Wood, another part Balvenie Doublewood, cool a bit in the summer time ( ~ 40 - 50 degrees F), and sip as desired."
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

    Celtic Mix Cocktail

When I mix this, usually on St. Patrick's Day, I like to use Dewar's and Bushmills. int:

    Celtic Mix Cocktail
    Ingredients
    1 1/2 oz. Scotch Whisky
    1 oz. Irish Whiskey
    1/2 oz. Lemon Juice
    Dash of Bitters

    Garnish: No Garnish
    Instructions
Pour all ingredients into a shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a chilled martini glass.

Allen: While I often add a dash of bitters to TNT and lime juice, I don't think I would have the courage to mix Scotch and Irish "Whisk(y/ie)s". It might raise the Gaelic Furies.
