Columba Cream...?
Hi there: When I was last in Scotland I had a taste of an absolutely fabulous liqueur called Columba Cream. I have not been able to find it at all here in the States. Does anyone have any suggestions for how to get a bottle, short of going back over? The question of buying it online and shipping it here seems very complicated due to state rules and regulations concerning shipping alcohol into a given state. Plus it seems not to be available that way anyway.
Any thoughts welcome. Thanks in advance! Bill

Bill, In the online shops (after some deep diving/reading) there is an L.A. Calif. store named Rameriz that offers your single malt cream at $25.00 a bottle. There is no mention if they ship to Maryland. Maybe if you become a member of their online group you would get that info.
I would suggest this as an alternative because you may just find it locally.
It is a lovely aperitif that is smooth, warming, fragrant and great on vanilla ice cream.
Good luck on the quest.

Thanks very much! I checked with them and they no longer stock it. Ah, the quest for the grail continues...

Shipping alcohol is always a bit tricky. Out here in California, BevMo carried Columba Cream, but are currently out online. They are a CA/AZ/WA chain.
Another alternative that is whisky-based is Stroma from Old Pulteney. I've seen it on shelves here in California at Total Wine and Wm Glen.

Perhaps I can find some help on this one.
A few years ago my wife and I were vacationing in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. We made some new friends there, and they introduced my wife to a wonderful delicacy called Glayva. It is a Scottish liqueur that we were able to purchase at the NSLC Store in Sydney.
Needless to say, we have been back to Cape Breton several times since, and at the end of each trip the wife was able to obtain several bottles of this nectar of the gods to bring back to the states.
Unfortunately her supply is running precariously low. Does anyone know if this elixir can be had in the US? We cannot return to Cape Breton until next summer.
Any help would greatly be appreciated!

Teachers do a whisky called Highland Cream, it's a blended whisky so not sure where the cream "element" comes in. I got this in a set of miniatures today, which is why I know.

If you are ever in Ontario, you will find Glayva in most LCBO locations (liquor stores)

As do they in Alberta. I haven’t looked for Columba Cream..

Columba Cream isn't one that I am familiar with but, if it is a cream liqueur akin to Baileys, it is rather easy to make yourself. There are plenty of online recipes and your local home-brew store will most likely have a kit for making it.
