Dark Island from Orkney Brewery

Does anyone know how consumers can get their paws on beer/spirits with limited U.S. distribution? I really enjoy Dark Island, but the only time I can get any is when my father-in-law (who owns a Scottish pub in Colorado) receives a case or two from his distributor. Since this wonderful event occurs only once or twice a year, I am lucky to get a smell of it before it disappears. Since I'm not allowed to buy directly from a distributor (I've been told), is there other way a private citizen can get hold of a rare beer?

That's a good idea! I used to brew in college and have been looking for an excuse to start up again.

Unless you live in a restrictive state (like PA) where only state liscenced stores can sell liqour or order it from out of state you could probably buy it straight from the factory or from an online liqour store.
