Eating Until You Pop!
What's your favorite feast food and drink, and how do you prefer to feast on it?
If you wish, include the celebration, holiday, or event at which the feast or significant dinner would occur.
Don't forget the side dishes etc.
Thank you.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

I am sure there are many more refined than I, but nothing beats deep dish Chicago pizza. It's a feast anytime, no side dishes needed.

I don't know; for pure pig out food, it's hard to beat pizza, from deep dish to thin.
The more refined I am feeling, the less I want to pig out.

Homemade noodles over mashed potatos is my weakness. Can't get enough at Thanksgiving, Christmas, or for that matter other times of the year when the family gets together.

Hoppy beer, with unlimited cheese, nuts, fruit, salumi, various crackers (totally optional), and chutneys. I've been to pubs that refer to this as a Ploughman's board. It is THE comfort food for me.
A close second is a big breakfast buffet, strong coffee, and bloody marys. There is a place near my home that has Saturday and Sunday "Bloody Mary Bar" - it's basically a Salad Bar for your Bloody Mary, you order a large glass of ice and vodka, go to the bar, and make it your way.
Have fun and throw far. In that order, too. - o1d_dude

St. Paddy's Day = Corned beef, cabbage, taters, and Guinness and TD by the gallon.
It's also what I have for my birthday, wedding anniversary, New Years, Cinco de Mayo, Bunson Burner Day...

Brined eggplant with onion, garlic, parsley and hot red pepper. Baba Ganoush (eggplant dip), home made hummus (one plain and one with jalapano peppers blended in). Mulled apple cider and mulled red wine. Good red wine, imperial stout and Edradour scotch.
TG day will be range fed turkey stuffed with apple, celery and onion for moisture and flavor. Garlic rosemary mashed taters. Mashed turnips with butter and black pepper. Have the neeps and tatties covered there. Home made squash pies. Baked acorn squash. Labnah (thick middle eastern yogurt) dip with grilled bell pepper. Hot yeast rise rolls. Chestnut dressing and oyster dressing. Possible ham.
Being from Texas a big bowl of Menudo for breakfast is grand. Growing up in New Orleans a big plate of red beans and rice hits the spot.
