Flu Shots

Flu shots are highly recommended this year. That's what the talking heads on the TV news have been espousing for the last several days. So I decided to take matters into my own hands - and self-administer my own "Irish Flu Shot" this evening.

My winter flu and cold preventative consist of hot lemon ginger tea and a good splash of Jack Daniels. A couple of these will ward off any bugs.. Seems to work as Ive not missed a day of work due to illness in over 20 years.

Wish I had known about this before. I have just spent the last week, which included my 50th birthday in bed with the dreaded flu. Oh well, I will have another birthday next year.

I got a flu shot and still got the flu. I probably could have kept the bug away, if had chased the shot with a fine single-malt.

I got the flu shot, and as an added precaution had a wee dram a day, and still contracted the damn thing. All I can say is a bit of single-malt makes the misery a bit more bearable
