    Guinness Black Lager?

I saw a commercial for this (apparently) new product, and was wondering if anyone had tried it. What's it all about? Is it just a dark lager, or is it more like a black & tan?

Yeah. I had it. Not that great but worth trying if you find yourself at a beer tasting.

Don't know how I missed that last thread. Thanks for the reviews, fellows. Now I shall stear clear and get back to regular Guiness and some assorted craft/micro brews.

    Re: Guinness Black Lager?

Tried this brew just recently and it tasted like a mix between a very week flavored Guiness and lager. You could call it a Guiness Light beer. Personal opinion is that Guines sold out to the no taste in beer crowd. try it if you like but you'll go back to the real stuff.

    Re: Guinness Black Lager?

Tried it the other day and it's not bad. It has a smokey flavor which reminds me a bit of steak. I'd describe it as a smokey New Castle. All in all.. I'd buy it again.

    Re: Guinness Black Lager?

It's fine-ish, but in this opinion, Guiness will always be best at making that delightful opaque stout which is in a glass beside this writer as this post is e-penned.
