I would definitely buy it----just not for 10,000gbp.

Would anyone who pays that much for a bottle of whisky ever actually get the nerve up to open it and enjoy its taste? Not likely, as then its value would plummet---like driving a new car off the lot, drops its value by 1/3 immediately as soon as it hits the pavement. Tasting it would give you a nice warm feeling knowing what 10,000gbp scotch tastes like, but would not, in these tough economic time, be worth it to any but those with exorbitant incomes and vast expendible capital. Unopened its value may continue to rise (depending on the economy) but opened it is just another nice whisky on the shelf (albeit a very expensive one) to share with your best of friends.

I am a consumer. I would buy it and invite an A list of malt enthusiast over and share a dram. I just cant keep a good thing to my self. Or i may keep it till my son is of age to enjoy it with me(he is just over one year now). Now we return to reality to the tune of my bank acct laughing at me

No, I can't say I'd buy it. Well, maybe if I was Bill Gates, but I wouldn't drink it since it doesn't have the flavor profile that I prefer.
