More Scottish bakery goodies

Our local Scottish bakery (actually it's the only Scottish bakery I know of in southeastern Michigan) has a special offer for the Super Bowl game this weekend. "Pick your own dozen of meat pies, bridies, cheese & onion pies, and/or large sausage rolls AND a dozen shortbread for $30." My wife was able to make the drive yesterday with a friend and picked up an assortment as well as fern cakes and a case of Barr's ginger beer.
Really like the Welsh cheddar cheese & onion pies.

I have no interest in American football, but I'm happy to take advantage of deals like this! I'm getting seriously addicted to the ginger beer :-)

I think it's probably still at least a break even proposition or better for them. I'm sure January/February tends to slow down after the holidays. They were cleaned out when I picked up a special order before Christmas.

I think the best thing we've tried so far has been the onion and Welsh cheddar cheese pies. Nice caramelized onion and sharp cheddar flavor in a crispy crust. The bridies were a close second.
