    Moylans Kilt Lifter Scotch Ale

My wife stumbled across this scotch ale (micro-brewer) while visiting a local store and had to pick it up for me. Not being a beer connoisseur, I know what I like and this wasn't bad.

Never had it, but around here we have our own micro-brewed ale with the name of Kilt Lifter from the Pike Brewing Co..

Its not too bad, and actually I have a 6-pack (minus one bottle ) sitting in the fridge right now!

By-the-by, the first photo in the brewery gallery shows the head brewer wearing what looks like a utilikilt.

Moylans brewery is just a few miles from where I live. I've sampled most of their beers (several times ) and had a Kilt Lifter just the other day. Good stuff!

When I was staying in Tombstone, AZ for about a week last October, the local saloon had a "Kilt Lifter" ale, but I don't remember who made it.

It was my beverage of choice the entire week.

It was probably Four Peaks Brewery out of Tempe. I like the one I had, but I'm still partial to Pike Place Brewery's Kilt Lifter. Gotta go with the local boys after all!

    Streetcar,

I suspect you're right. All said and done though, I liked it and was glad the saloon had it as I'm not partial to lagers or IPAs.
