Scotch on the rocks?

" Set of 9 Whisky Stones
Whether you spell it “whisky” or “whiskey,” whether you call it rye, bourbon, or Scotch, you know the importance of serving it right: neat, slightly chilled, in a handsome glass. Set includes 2 mouthblown, non-lead Avva crystal tumblers designed to hold small quantities of high-quality spirits, and 6 “whisky stones”. Fresh from the freezer these non-porous Vermont soapstone cubes will cool your drink without flavoring or diluting it. A gift for the connoisseur."
Ok does someone have to much time on their hands or is this a really a good thing?

Not a joke. I've seen it before. Pretty strange looking though for sure.

non-lead crystal = glass
They're probably trying to make you think it's nicer than it really is. I really do think the whisky stones are a joke, though. It would add nothing to the drink. I see it as the same as those plastic ice cubes with a fly in them.

It's not a joke. I've seen these elsewhere, although not specific for whisky. The idea is that they cool the drink without melting and diluting the liquor. They act as a heat sink.
Just don't let them shift and crack your front teeth when you drink!

Those rocks look deadly. Be good for a laugh, though.
I only put scotch on the rocks, i.e, ice, if it's blended. (I do accept Johnny Walker or Dewars once in a while.)
Single malt is always neat with water back for a splash.
