Do they say product of Scotland? I found some nice ales on the islands off Scotlands west coast.

Have you tried to google up any info on them? Thats what I do most of the time. None of those names are familiar to me.
Never heard of any of them. They may be the product of someone's back yard but I doubt if they come from any well established brewery. Have you tried ones like 'Fraoch', Traquair, Orkney brewery, Belhaven and many others. Here are some in the Edinburgh area that might give you some leads - http://www.scottishbrewing.com/brewe...ndlothians.php -.
I think a few of them are from Brewdog: http://www.brewdog.com/
Wow, that is some site.

"Tactical Nuclear Penguin" and "Sink the Bismark" are made in Scotland, but I wouldn't call them typical Scottish beers. I've never tried them myself, but I'd call them high-alcohol novelty beers.

As a real ale drinker I cant say that I have heard of any of them. They seem to be a relatively new brewery with products aimed at a less discerning clientele. Phil above has listed more traditional beers. I strongly advise you to take his advice.

I haven't tried them myself but I understand that BrewDog are high quality craft beers but clearly they are on the "trendy" edge of the spectrum. I personally don't care for the genre... but I might be doing them a huge disservice. I wouldn't get mislead by the high alcohol content; there is a bit of a move towards sipping stronger beers. I tend to go to quite a few beer festivals and various real ale (old man!) pubs and can confidently recommend Fyne Ales: particularly Vital Spark: http://www.fyneales.com/ as a favourite.
