    Why's the Rum All Gone?????

I am particularly fond of Rum and I like the association that Pussers has with the Royal Navy. I realize that Pussers is only so-so but I still try to buy a bottle now and then for the historical connection. What's your favorite Rum??

I'm not a big rum drinker but my choice at the moment (for my dark and stormy's) is Thomas Tew authentic pot still rum from my home away from home, Rhode Island. How can you not like rum named after a New England pirate?

I'm a fan of the Captain as well... I'm particularly fond of the 100 Proof, which has a wonderful butterscotch taste. I usually drink that over ice. The Private Stock has a wonderful rich flavor that goes best for me with Pepsi Throwback or another sugar sweetened cola. It MUST be sugar sweetened for me. I don't care for High Fructose Corn Syrup.

Good old fashioned Captain Morgan's served me well this past weekend while camping. It rained and was relatively cold all day Saturday. Nothing like a bit of the Captain to warm one up.

Have you tried Gosslin's Black Seal from Bermuda for an "authentic" dark and stormy?

    Regards,
