    Speedy Acrylic Care

Hello all, just a few questions about caring for my acrylic SWK standard without taking too much time. I'm an engineering student, and a heck of a procrastinator. That leaves me with little time to do things such as iron, press, etc. In fact, I don't own an iron, ironing board, steamer, or even hang most of my clothes! My clothing isn't really that important to me during the week. However, during special events I like to look nice and have wrinkle free clothing. Now that I'll be wearing the kilt more often, I'd like to know how to keep it looking sharp and wrinkle free without the need for extra equipment, basting stitches, or much extra time. Just a quick and easy, relatively effective routine; if it exists, that is...

    Thanks for the help!

Buy an iron and an ironing board. Amazing. I've never heard of anyone that doesn't own an iron. I would never go out in clothes not ironed.

Too each there own, I suppose, but the very thought of it makes me shudder!

Oh, and be very careful with that acrylic stuff around naked flames!

Thanks for that, interesting stuff indeed!

Regarding SWK: Jerry called and made everything right.. his customer service is indeed fantastic.

I'd suggest buying an inexpensive steamer. You can get one quite reasonably ($20 or so) at any of the big pharmacy chains or Walmart etc. Just hang your kilt on the shower curtain rod and give it a good steaming while applying a wee bit of downward tension at the bottom. Works like a charm!
