Almost finished.
I've almost finished my son's dress Stuart kilt. I need to add the hip buckles and a Velcro tab on the inside apron. I need to make the flashes and get him a white dress shirt. The wedding we are attending is formal so he will have a PC and waistcoat and black neck tie or bow tie.
His sporran is also balanced in a funny spot so it tips over and the chain is too short. I'll need to adjust that too. Baby steps.

Sorry it's sideways. It's fine on my phone. Lol.

That choice of tartan for a formal wedding is superb. Your son will be a hit. You did a good job. The rest (sporran adjustment, vest, etc) is easier now. Fall back on your laurels now Becky.

Thanks Tarheel. Sometimes I impress myself! I'm sure he'll outgrow his PC and shirt within months with that typical 7th grade growth spurt that will see him 6" taller by March.

That looks great!
Yes, that sporran does look rather tight around his waist. The guidance I was given was nothing less than one relaxed hand-width below the waistband and test final by sitting (sporran 'settles' into the front apron). I'm guessing it is a one piece chain without any adjustment - a hardware store selling dog lead chain will do the trick, either matched to lengthen or completely replaced to size. As Tarheel said, the sporran adjustment and other things are the easy touches. He's going to look smashing!!
