Aran jersey with a home made kilt

Even though I did not make the fantastic Aran kitted jersey in the link below, I thought I'd post it anyhow as my Japanese wife Tamaki made it for me . Yesterday I wore it out whilst shopping with my hand made kilt and Japanese made lambs wool argyle socks , with vintage brown brogues. The photo was taken outside the craft cafe we we both made our wool felt bonnets last year. It was the perfect clothing for a cold winters day !

    Cheers

My good Lad, your lovely new bride is certainly a keeper. What a lucky man you are. I expect an appropriate compliment for her would be, "she captured everything true to the concept of heritage and sense of style that is yours." Well done.

    Hey there, Kilted Kiwi!

Good work! I really enjoy seeing your projects. They're inspiring! I wish I had the time to put into everything I wanted to make. Life does get in the way so I just have to work with what I can get.

I know exactly where you are. I lived in Nara for a lot of years and worked at a friend's pension over the holidays. I really loved the taste of the rice there. Fantastic with a little piece of salmon, otsukemono and a swig of miso soup. Yum!

    Thanks so much for sharing!!!

    Hi MacIllfhilidh

Thanks for the kind comments and when I was a young lad and a snowboarder I used to love going to Myoko Kogen Suginohara for that field had 10 km runs from the top of the mountain to the bottom. Which was awesome.
