    Brass cantle rebag DIY

Last week I picked up a really cool pierced brass cantle from "KiltedCole" during a kilt night out in MN. I have been itching bad to build a bag for it (eventually I would like to build a couple).

So I got started on the sporran project and could not stop (other than a break to cook and eat supper... And drink a few bevies). I am calling it don although I may try some red leather cones to see how that looksto match the leather bit under the cantle.

Brass cantle from Cole, muskrat bag from one I trapped, back of moose hide, handmade brass chain with muskrat fur tassels in dyed moose hide cones. I lined it will crimson velveteen....

Gorgeous! Muskrat is one of my favorite 'dressier' furs.

Very nice. I think the red cones would be worth a try.
