Outstanding! I think the waistcoat turned out very nice! I like the pattern you used. Which one was it? I don't know how you managed to get that much material from the leftover ripping, though. The piece I had left from my kilt was much narrower, and isn't even wide enough to do a decent scarf, much less a panel for a waistcoat.
The tartan epaulets are pretty snazzy too. I've got a lot of small pieces left from my kilt (mostly the cutouts from the fell), and you've given me some ideas.

Great job on the waistcoat. I think you could wear that with your kilt, no problem!

It looks like everything "turned out well". Congratulations on some great duds and accoutrement. One more XMTS craftsman out there!
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Waistcoat looks great, did you have enough to do each side without joining fabric?

"Some time back a member posted here a small plaid to wear while motorcycling."
That was me. As it turned out, if 80+ is a daily event the little plaid I made suffers. Your eppaulet idea is fantastic! In fact, I mean to copy it.
Bravo on your workmanship.

Everything there looks absolutely fine. Some very creative uses for the remnants.
