    DIY jacket of Harris Tweed

I just realized that I have not posted on my jacket since I finished it. I was wanting a vintage style that is no longer seen anymore that I can use for shooting. I made it from a piece of vintage Harris tweed that I picked up at a steal from an auction. Due to the intended use, it is modeled in a way that does not meat the rules of the forum, so I will share a link with those who wish to see it.

I'm with James on the lapel. I know it is designed not hinder the stock (butt of the weapon) while shooting, but you have added "dapper" to the function. Fantastic color of fabric also.

It looks very nice! I notice two interesting things: you used a *very* light sew-in interfacing in place of a canvas, and you pad stitched the entire interfacing, instead of just doing the breast/revers area. Usually one pad stitches the chest padding to the canvas, and then pad stitches the canvas at the lapels, leaving the rest to float freely and attached only at the besom pocket, shoulder, and armscye. Did you base your method on an existing jacket or style? I'll say again that it looks fantastic, so clearly your method worked for you, but I was just curious why you did it that way.
