DIY - military sporran
Hello!
I started to work on my Sporran which is based on privately purchased Sporrans often bought or sewed
by soldiers by their own will. Those Sporrans were made with several non-regulation things like inner lining, different position of regimental badges, etc. .
Here are two photos from the begining:
1.jpg2.jpg
I used leathers from deer and pig. 95 percent of sewing done by hands as the leather is too hard for sewing machine.
Leather is coloured with a spirituous color.

Hello, FosterMacMillan!

If you haven't already done so, you may want to introduce yourself in the Newbie forum.
I'm looking forward to seeing more pictures of your sporran as you continue to work on it.

Hello Allen!
I have made newbie post but it awaits authorisation since I am newbie...
And here is new photo from Sporran construction... front piece and sides sewn together and coloured (still wet), the flash made it looks like it had splotches more visible then they really are...

Nicely done sir! I like the rolled edge - I haven't made one like that yet but want to add it to my repertoire. (Lol, I have a loooong list of things I want to try - I hope I have time left on this earth to try them. ;-) )

Hi Lee! Thanks! The rolled edge is sometimes hard to made but at this moment I used very soft deer suede leather which acts just like a fabric so no problems with sewing it together and wraping it...
