    Dunlop Ancient Flashes

There was no way to capture all of the elements of this tartan in a set of flashes with any kind of order -- three distinct color blocks, three different line patterns. So I noticed this stylized St. Andrew's Cross in the bias and took it from there.

Fly plaid is done too, but nothing remarkable -- standard 40"x40" with 1 1/2" unpurled fringe.

That's well done. I'm not big on flashes, but that's impressive!

Thank you, Bonnie. I made them to wear with the amazing kilt that you are crafting.

Those are really good looking flashes.
I am going to have to look more into the Dunlop Society. My grandmother was a Dunlap.

Thanks, T-bone. You can check out Clan Dunlop Society here. There will be a clan gathering at the West Virginia Highland Games the first weekend in May.

I saw Dunlop and thought it was about motorcycle tires. JK, wicked nice flashes!
