First DIY sporran
Found some leather in the loft today so spent my lunch having a go at making a sporran for my son to go with the kilt he's getting for Xmas.
I used the Troop 7 pattern, but discovered that the pattern needs tweaking - the front and back are very slightly different in size so aligning the holes is a tad tricky.
Its a very simple day sporran, but as I haven't done anything like this before and its 'a few' years since my leather workign kit saw the light of day...
And I know the , as soon as I can find the lead for the camera, pics will be put up.

Re: First DIY sporran
Finally found the cable for my camera...
I still need to find some thinner leather to make the tassels, but aside from that its finished.
I'm thinking about maybe doing a semi-dress for myself if I can find some goat fur.
This is my first attempt, so constructive criticism is welcome.

Re: First DIY sporran
I thought that doing it that way might help others.
Also proves I did do it.

Very simple yet usable! I guess it would be better gluing the parts together prior lacing them.
Nice first try!
