First Sporran Attempt
Here's my first sporran, I'm pretty happy with it but lots of room for improvement. Still have the belt to do and I hope to get better at stitching the next time.

Bert,
I think it looks downright snazzy. (That is a very good thing.) Keep up the good work.

We are always so critical of our own efforts, seeing each flaw as thought it was under a magnifying glass. I will echo the opinions of others, and tell you that you did a fine job. I think it looks nice, and you should take pride in it.

Nothing wrong with that at all! Classic, serviceable, and neat. Guid an ye'!

My three sporrans fade in comparison. Even if you find a flaw (which I don't see) your sporran is worth taking pride in. Good job.

That is beautiful. You've chosen simple and sober lines which give it a very elegant and distinguished look. Often simpler is better.
The downside to such sober lines is that you cannot hide any flaws - in this case, you've done a brilliant job, as very few flaws are visible!
I'm currently working on a three sporrans - the first I've ever attempted. I'm currently finishing my work on the brass cantles and have done the tassles. Soon the leatherwork will start. Dark brown leather for mine and rabbit for the kids. If I can get a result even half as good as yours, I'd be happy!
Any tips for an aspiring sporran maker?

The simple sporrans with clean lines are actually more difficult to make in many ways than more elaborately trimmed styles. I very much like your workmanship, and would wear it in a heartbeat!
