I flipped my lid for this Sporran!
Just before my birthday last week I got a small package in the mail from our good brother Turpin. This package is the result of several PM exchanges that I have carefully stored in my XMarks "Treasures" folder. In this small package were a number of pieces of leather, a few odd notes, and an unspoken invitation to the XMarks DIY club.
After a bit of dying, gluing, pounding, hand stitching, swearing, and a bit of starting over - I'm finished.
So without further fussing here's Phil's First Sporran!

To be honest I'm not sure I like the silver celtic knot closure - I think some pieces of antler would look better - but that's easy enough to change.
I want to give Turpin a big public THANK YOU for the materials, all of his help, and his generous nature. He made this whole adventure both possible and enjoyable!

Very handsome end result, Phil. It looks like that moose hide took your stain very well. I'm really glad you were able to get over the hard parts. It sure was worth it judging from the picture.

I'm very impressed Phil.
Now we just need to see what it looks like when you wear it!

Thanks for the kind words Turpin - with your "kit" it was just a bit of "some assembly required"
