This is the first leather work I have ever done. I did not like the chain/belt that came with my sporran. Here is what I came up with.

Looks great! One thing you might do, it appears the inside is a bit "fuzzy". You can take a damp rag and wipe the fuzzy fibers in one direction to help them lay down. Using something smooth to slick them down after wetting them will do a better job. This will lessen any friction between your strap and kilt. The smoother, the better. The silver rivets and black leather look great though!

It could be my monitor also now that you say it though, I do see a gold tint to the metal.
