    Kilt #3 - Oranje Power … again

    Hi everyone!

I already showed some pictures of this project in http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/f...e-power-88147/

But now the second orange kilt is done and the new owner tried it on for the first time today. He liked it so much that he didn't take it off for his whole bagpipe lesson :-) This weekend we will be on a folk festival together where defenitily will be people with cameras for a picture of the two orange kilts together.

I made parts of the kilt during "The barber of Seville" where I play two little roles with lot's of free time between my appearances on stage. Here's me as police officer sewing pleats :-)

    Proud owner

Now there is no orange tartan left. The next kilt will defenitivly be one from real tartan in a thicker quality. We will be in The Netherlands in the summer, where cloth is half as expensive as in Germany. I will keep my eyes open!

Nice kilt, and fantastic moustache & eyebrows!

Good luck finding more tartan during your travels.

Love your look, Kristof! There is nothing like a handlebar moustache to draw the eye...and then those eyebrows! WOW!

So typical of anyone whose involved in theatre - you do whatever you have to do, wherever you are, whenever you have the time.

Looking forward to a shot of both of you performing together. You will definitely get LOTS of attention! Pipes, kilts, and colour!

    Watch out for the paparazzi!

We don't get enough theater here. The University does a fair job and the local groups fill in (at their best attempts). But it is lacking. I had to show my wife your photo (sans moustache and brows), her reaction without reading the post, Salvador Dali?
The young lad seems happy with his kilt.

We were both proud to wear our kilts on the festival last weekend :-)

Great looking kilts! You did a very nice job on them, Kristof. The orange is much softer in natural sunlight.

Love your students lack of footwear - my favourite way to go! You both look very comfortable.

    spoiler alert -> diversion here...

Is your dog a Welsh Springer Spaniel?

Thank you. It was a great weekend and indeed very comfortable. We also danced Bsl Folk Dances together, but there are no good pictures of it.

My dog ("Lytse" is his name) is a Dutch Kooikerhondje, a very old dutch breed. There is an american breeder club: http://www.kooikerhondjeusa.org

Your Lytse looks just like a purebred Welsh Springer Spaniel that I knew for many years. I appreciate the link, I will read & watch everything on the site after I finish on XMarks tonight.

I would have loved to have seen you both dancing in your kilts. I'll bet you had lots of interesting conversations to go along with all the fun.

    Enjoy you kilting!
