Latest Sporran Weekend DIY
Here is a daytime sporran I just whipped up from some left over materials I had on hand. It is a sort of amalgam of Rob Roy and Hunting styles.
The construction is from deerskin, calf hide, and hair-on kidskin.

Mike, for something that you "just whipped up," that is just awesome.

Nicely executed. You incorporated that fur wonderfully.

Very nicely done. Like the closure especially. Simple and elegant. (makes note to self)

Cheers. It is a small nautical "globe knot" (similar to a Monkey's Fist knot), created with leather lace around a wooden bead.
I tooled, pierced, and pinked a Celtic knot leather shield behind it to protect the goatskin hair from wear and tear from the braided leather loop.
